GENERAL SCHOLARSHIPS
APPLICATION DEADLINES: FEBRUARY 1st and JUNE 1st
General Scholarships provide a partial or full tuition waiver and may be used for any workshop. There are two filing cycles each year. You may receive only one General Scholarship in any calendar year. Apply by
completing the Application Form (below) and sending a one-page letter describing your financial need, and listing the workshop you wish to attend. Indicate how you will benefit from the experience and how you will share what you learn. Enclose no more than 6 slides, prints or digital images of your work along with a stamped self-addressed return envelope. General Scholarships in Photography are sponsored by Fuji Photo Film Professional Products Division.

ELISA OLDER MEMORIAL YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP
APPLICATION DEADLINE: JUNE 1st
ELISA OLDER was a talented young artist who participated in the Coupeville Arts Center summer Young Artist program. One scholarship is awarded annually, and provides full tuition for one summer Young Artist program. To apply, you must be a middle or high school age student from Island County, Whatcom County or the Skykomish School District*. Submit
a completed Application Form (below) and a one-page letter describing your financial need, and listing the workshop you wish to attend. Indicate how you will benefit from the experience and how you will share what you learn.
* Please send a reference letter from your Art Teacher.

CAROL PERALTA MEMORIAL
YOUTH SCHOLARSHIP
APPLICATION DEADLINE: JUNE 30
CAROL PERALTA was a long time Coupeville resident. She owned and ran a
screen printing business and was a watercolor artist. Carol was a
member of the Coupeville Arts Center Board of Directors.
One scholarship will be awarded in 2006
and provides full tuition for one summer youth art class. To apply,
you must be a middle or high school age student from Whidbey Island.
Submit a completed Application Form and a one-page letter describing
why you feel you are a good candidate for this scholarship. List your
interests in the field of art and what class you are interested in
taking. Indicate how you will benefit from the experience and how you
will share what you learn.

MARILYN WINTER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
APPLICATION DEADLINE: MARCH 1st
MARILYN WINTER was a resident of Whidbey Island, well known for her color photography. One scholarship is awarded annually, and provides full tuition for a photography workshop .
Apply by sending a completed Application Form (below) and a one-page letter describing your financial need, and listing the workshop you wish to attend. Indicate how you will benefit from the experience and how you will share what you learn. Enclose no more than 6 slides, prints or digital images of your work and a stamped self-addressed return envelope.

ADOPT-AN-ARTIST SCHOLARSHIP HOUSING
PROGRAM
The Adopt-An-Artist Scholarship Program has a limited number of
volunteers who have generously offered their personal guest rooms in
their private homes to those students who would be unable to attend
a course at the CAC if it were not for a subsidized accommodation.
To apply for a CAC Adopt-An-Artist Housing Scholarship, please
send a one page letter describing you financial need to: Coupeville
Arts Center, 15 NW Birch St, Coupeville WA 98239, Attn
Adopt-An-Artist Scholarship Housing Program. Your
application will be reviewed and you will be notified of our
decision. If you have qualified , you will be sent a list of
possible Adopt-An-Artist Housing accommodations. It will be up to
you to contact and make arrangements with your host. A nominal fee
of $25.00 to $40.00 for a one person/one room a night is
recommended.
